Parents visiting

My parents decided to take a road trip to Cape Town from Durban. They planned on staying two nights in PE and spend some time with me. I didn't realize how quickly the time is flying and how much I've missed them. Good to see familiar faces after staying alone for a while.

Interstellar: One of the best movies of all time

An amazing teaser trailer for Google's EMIC influenced by Christopher Nolan's film Interstellar.

Christopher Nolan is famous for his mind-boggling and thought-provoking films which capture the audiences attention and make them tap into a section of their mind which allows them to think critically and analytically about topics which few people have extensive knowledge about.

The space-time theory and the relativity theory have always fascinated me but Nolan portrayed these theories in a film which portrayed the capabilities of human ingenuity and possibilities with space travel.

A must watch for everyone and anyone wanting to think beyond our world to what possibilities lie ahead.

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.                -Dylan Thomas

PE World Cup Stadium

Finally had a chance to visit the iconic 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium in PE. And wow was it beautiful. Wish I could've got a chance to see the inside and walk around. Hopefully I'll get another chance.

My building: measured up and photographed

Exterior facade of the Gijima Technologies building, PE.
Finally managed to gain access to my chosen building for my proposal. Measured it up as best as I could and photographed the entire site for services and features.
Now to analyze the information and start working on the technical theory document and the proposed design of the space.

Another weekend spent on campus.

Municipality trips

Going from floor to floor at the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality is quite tedious and time-consuming. But it's for my "as-builts" documentation and the deadline is Thursday.

Finally after spending 4 hours running between floors and buildings, I had finally received all the documents necessary to complete part 1 of my document.

Let the typing begin...
